AZROCK BY TARKETT LAUNCHES NEW TILE AND ADHESIVE SYSTEM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New System to Improve Flooring Installations

Houston, TX, May 8, 2008 – Azrock by Tarkett announced today the launch of a new tile and adhesive system. This new system re-categorizes the manufacturer’s product lines for ease of selection in to one of three categories – Asset, Advance or Achieve.  A full marketing campaign has been developed to explain the new Azrock system, which is now available to flooring contractors, architects and designers.

“Azrock is excited to announce our new tile and adhesive system that offers a smarter approach to flooring,” said Diane Martel, vice president marketing for Tarkett Commercial Tile. “In additional to launching an innovative adhesive system, all of our products have been upgraded in terms of performance, maintenance and installation.”

Azrock by Tarkett’s integrated marketing campaign emphasizes five key elements of the Azrock system: performance, installation, ColorWorks®, maintenance and environmental impact.

  • Performance – The new Spray Smart adhesive allows immediate occupancy of space after installation, offers triple warranty protection and provides moisture resistance up to 10 lbs/12pH.
  •
  • Installation – Spray Smart adhesive reduces installation time up to 70-percent, requires fewer tools and adhesive, it is odorless and VOC-free and allows immediate occupancy after installation.
  •
  • ColorWorks – ColorWorks incorporates the entire Azrock line into a user-friendly color system and allows designers to easily mix product lines to create unique designs and color stories. It organizes Azrock flooring which varies in unique sizes, shapes, textures and edge treatments.
  •
  • Maintenance – Reduced maintenance means reduced labor cost, lessens impact on the environment, and lowers Life Cycle Cost. In fact, Azrock’s Achieve (commercial homogeneous tile) requires no polish or stripper.
  •
  • Environmental Impact – All Azrock flooring is FloorScore certified under California 01350 clean air guidelines. Buildings have the potential to earn up to 17 LEED points with Azrock flooring. In addition to recycled content in floor tiles, reduced chemical use with less required maintenance, Azrock offers its ReUse reclamation program, which recycles used and new flooring as well as product samples into future products.

The new categories in the Azrock system – Asset (VCT), Advance (VET) and Achieve (commercial homogeneous tile) – group the flooring by type but also by features and benefits. All Azrock commercial tiles offer a building the potential to earn LEED points by improving the environmental performance of the building. Available in smooth surface and slip resistant versions, Azrock’s Asset VCT provides double warranty protection – a 5-year manufacturer warranty and a 5-year limited moisture/PH warranty – when installed with Spray Smart adhesive.

The Advance Vinyl Enhanced Tile line offers reduced maintenance, therefore reducing Life Cycle Cost, offers improved performance with 400 PSI and 10-year manufacturer and moisture warranty when installed with Spray Smart adhesive.

Azrock's highest rated product line, Achieve Solid Vinyl Tile, offers minimal maintenance with dry buffing, superior performance with 800 PSI, 10-year manufacturer, moisture and wear warranty when installed with Spray Smart adhesive, plus the added design element of tiles in unique sizes and shapes.
